“ Kid friendly cafe with great service and homemade food. Don't forget the key lime pie! ”
“ We had another fine lunch at the Trinity Cafe and I thought I would provide an update since the waitress told us that a new menu was available since the original owner of the cafe had resumed operating the establishment. I attached some new pictures of the menu. We did not order from the food and salad bar but it appeared to be similar to the previous operators. Those around us returned from the food bar with heaping plates of fried fish that looked great. Also our waitress told us that the prices on the menu were lowered and we noted that in our case, the BLT and fries were cheaper than our previous visit. In this time of record inflation how often do you see prices reduced! We both ordered BLT's with hand-cut fries that were exceptional. We both decided not to toast the bread. In hindsight, that was not the best choice so next time we will get them toasted as usual. Hey, some times you have to try to live on the wild side and it often doesn't work out! The service was terrific. The coffee is fresh and the cups were refilled several times for us. Restaurant is clean and everyone is very friendly. We enjoyed our lunch and will always plan on stopping for lunch when traveling through Trinity. ”
“ Awesome service and good down home cooking. I had the fried fish and it was very good. Lightly breaded which I love. Got to get the sweet tea to complete the meal! ”
“ Today my family and I took a road trip to the little town of Trinity Texas. I don't believe I have ever visited this town before but it's possible I have for it is hardly a town; many of the shops and businesses are closed and it seems quite historical in a way. Arriving around noon we where on the hunt for a restaurant so googling restaurants and reviewing them on yelp I found "Trinity Cafe" with a 4 star rating and pleasant reviews so I decided this was the place to try. Upon entering this establishment I noticed a hot plate buffet to my right where a waitress was serving a customer the food items he chose through the glass, todays choices being fried catfish with hush puppies, fried okra, potato salad, corn, collard greens and an interesting dish called tater tot casserole (I for one have never seen this dish of ground meat with tator tots and cheese on top) but the man retrieved his plate and delightedly returned to his table. Directly in front of me when entering the restaurant was a salad bar which had fresh crunchy vegetables with all the trimmings of black olives, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and other things to enhance your salad to your liking. To my left sat several of the locals who seem to eat here often due to the fact that the waitresses knew them by name and would ask about their family members. We where directed from a waitress across the room to "sit anywhere we liked". Finding our seats we where brought a 2 sided paper menu, one side breakfast the other lunch. Scanning the menu we had choices of fish, hamburgers, something called the monster burger caught my attention but I was not feeling adventurous today so continue on; Chicken fried chicken, chicken fingers, chicken fried steak.... That was it my decision was chicken fried steak with one side item my choosing that being tater tots. If you ordered from the buffet you ate quickly but if you choose from the menu your meal was made fresh so it took a little longer. Scanning the room I noticed that this small town eatery was the place to go in this small town, the locals all seemed to know each other and talk amongst themselves about what new movie they wanted to go see; it felt like a step back in time to simpler times and small town living. Our waitress was a nice young lady who after bringing my mothers chicken strips felt they where not near big enough (despite them being the same size as sonics chicken strips) had the cook make her 2 extra. My chicken fried steak was bigger than my hand and I had to get a ''to go" box. My dad ate the catfish, okra and potato salad from the buffet which he said he enjoyed. We sat quite and enjoyed our meal. I think I would return to this establishment if I'm ever in the area again and I'm craving some down home cooking. ”
“ Quiet hometown cafe. All food is homemade and man does it taste like it!!! The pulled pork sandwich on jalapeño bread with coleslaw was to die for! The buffet was more than the husband could eat! And the chocolate pie was a party in our mouths!!! Definitely recommend this cafe if you are near this area! Jennifer took great care of us and was just delightful!!! ”
“ What a surprising treat! We were passing through and craving breakfast. This place does not disappoint! Fresh food, amazing onion rings (not frozen!) and homemade pie!! The waitresses were all super sweet and really made our morning! ”
